Youth Partnership for Community Development - Sierra Leone (YOPCOD-SL) is a non- profit organization that was established on the 3/02/2014 due to issues that confront the youth in communities they live such as high risk of HIV/AIDS, unemployment and underemployment, lack of education and skills, social exclusive, limited infrastructure to meet young people’s interests, civil war, unstable political environments, the struggle for identity and the massive incapacity of community development by most of our time. The initiative was brought up by the Founder & CEO Dauda Bindi in Sierra Leone to develop important personal and interpersonal skills which will include the ability to think critically and solve problems, and the assumption of personal and group responsibility. This drive will speedily increase the human resource base of youth in the area of community development, education, partnership, and advocacy and also help young people gain self-confidence and self-esteem which enhance them with Developmental skills that will help bring about meaningful changes within the communities they live.
